Ohhh so many ideas! Firstly I’d make sure that I was allowed to claim and keep the winnings. Imagine how you’d feel if you’d lost that ticket. Assuming the ยฃ10 million was mine to keep and spend, I’d probably help out family and friends with some, have a big ceilidh (a party with Scottish dancing) and then use some to fund my research. I’d try to invest some of the money so I could make regular donations to charities and good causes.

Wow, what a great question. I would want to invest it wisely so that I would never have to work again but probably would still work as I enjoy what I do. I would also make sure I did lots of travelling as well as help out family. I would also make sure some went to charity.

First have a party with my friends and then probably take a holiday. Then I would break the money up into different allocations like money for buying a house, saving for a family etc. Anything that was then left I would invest into different causes I cared about or thought worthwhile.

if I hadn’t bought or been given the ticket i doubt it is mine to keep. Thus i’d return it to the Lottery in the hope they could track the lucky owner

Ohoo, I’ve dreamed about this! Firstly I’d pay off loans that any of me or my close friends have, I’d buy a house for my Mum and I’d get a small place of my own. Then help out my friends who are planning on getting married and pay for their honeymoon. I’d invest half of the rest so I could use it later for travelling etc. The remainder I would use to help under-represented minorities access learning opportunities that so many of us just take for granted.

This is very hard to answer! It’s a huge amount of money for personal use, but a small amount of money for something business/industrial.

I think I would start by paying off my student loan and my mortgage, probably make sure none of my family had any debts or motgage either. Once I’d done that, I’d want to save at least half of it so that I was financially secure for the rest of my life. Then I’d enjoy the rest! I think I would maybe start up a microbrewery and become a brewer, and I would definitely build a home observatory to enjoy more astronomy ๐Ÿ™‚

This is a tough question! I would firstly pay off my parentsโ€™ mortgage and buy them a few presents. Iโ€™d also give some money to my friends and family so that they are comfortable. I would save some of the money so that I could afford things like a house and small luxuries for myself- primarily so that I could have a secure future without the stress of finances. Then I would donate the rest to charities. I would donate a larger proportion to the Irish Cancer Society (because I am Irish and I work with cancer and am passionate about cancer treatments and research) and Pieta House (this is another Irish charity that provides mental health support). I would also donate smaller amounts to a wider range of charities like homeless charities and animal welfare charities, and also to scientific research ๐Ÿ™‚ Although I think my money is running out fast!! What would you do with the money?

Firstly help my immediate family, do some travelling to places on my “wish list” but also help in organizations involved with kids so that they can have better quality lives and education.

      Difficult one!
First I’d cash it in, though I would feel bad that it might have been lost by someone! Then I’d keep enough to live comfortably I suppose, but I’d mainly want to use the money for a good cause. Right now that would probably be funding research on sustainable technologies or ways to stop climate change ๐Ÿ™‚
