The reason I like to use to answer this is simply that I became more interested in climate science than I was in protein science. You should always do something that you enjoy, and if you have the opportunity you should definitely work on the topic that you find the most enjoyable!
Is there a topic at school or outside of school that you think you’d enjoy enough to do more learning about or have a job in?
Thank you so much! At the moment I am really interested in how technology is impacting science, and especially gene-editing technologies such as CRISPR. I love all the sciences, and it would be amazing to have a career in any of these.
CRISPR is certainly a very interesting new bit of tech! I find it interesting how potentially being able to edit genes relating to illness and diseases brings about some deep philosophical questions about life and how people view a ‘good life’. What about CRISPR interests you?
I agree completely with your views about CRISPR. I love investigating the ethical dilemmas that it poses, and how in the future it could change humanity
