      Hahaha no! As a PhD student I earn £15,000 a year, which is not a lot once you’ve paid rent, bills and food.

      No, but I earn enough to live comfortably and that’s what I wanted from the salary part of my career.

      I’m rich in knowledge of the chemical elements. Does that count?

      Nope! As a PhD student I earn very little money, but I hope that through the experience I am gaining and all of the hard work I put in now I can one day earn a nice amount of money 🙂

      My experience has always been that a lot of science jobs are not likely to make you rich, but they will usually make you enough money that you live pretty comfortably 🙂

      Far from it! But I hope that once I’ve completed my PhD and get a job that I’ll be paid enough to have a comfortable life… I hope anyway!

      Chance would be a fine thing! Certainly not rich, but comfortable, and honestly I don’t even know what I’d do with millions if I had it. I try to live a minimalist life!

      Rich is subjective, I think I am rich in many ways, good friends, lots of travel and I enjoy my work;
      but I assume you mean financially; in that case I would say I have done well throughout my career.
      As a chemist i was lucky enough to work offshore in the oil industry which pays well. (A good saving habit is still the most important aspect as I have seen lots of people who earn lots of money waste it)

      My strong advice is not to do something just for money, it is important but you will be very unhappy if you are only working for money.
