I went to school in Selby, North Yorkshire, completing my A-levels at Selby College. I completed a Master’s Degree in Chemistry at Durham University, then a PhD in Bristol, completing my studies in 2012.

About Me:
I am a Scientist for Johnson Matthey, where I work in the area of catalyst and absorbent development. I live in the North East of England and enjoy mountain biking, swimming and running in my spare time.

I have lived in the North East of England for a number of years with my wife and two young children. My favourite food is probably curry (perhaps a Chicken Jalfrezi), but I also love to BBQ when the weather is good.

Whilst I currently work in the area of absorbents, I worked for many years in the area of catalyst development. I completed a Master’s Degree in Chemistry at Durham University, then a PhD in Bristol, completing my studies in 2012.

My Typical Day:
I work as part of a small team working on absorbent development, assisting with customer enquiries, supporting my commercial colleagues and working with the manufacturing teams to develop improved manufacturing processes for our products.
